This bill allows victims of deed fraud to get a refund of the realty transfer taxes they paid. Deed fraud happens when someone falsely claims to own a property and sells it. The bill helps people who were affected by this type of fraud and paid taxes on the fake sale.

Amending Chapter 19-1700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Finance, Taxes, and Collections," to allow for refunds of the realty transfer taxes to victims of deed fraud, all under certain terms and conditions.
