This lapsed bill would have defined an automated parking garage as a structure using mechanical or other automated systems to park or retrieve more than three vehicles.
Amending Chapter 9-601 of The Philadelphia Code entitled "Garages, Parking Lots, Sales Lots and Sales Showrooms" by adding a definition for automated parking garages and restricting the operation and maintenance of said automated parking garage to within three hundred (300) feet of any residentially zone property, all under certain terms and conditions.

The enacted ordinance grants Cavalier Telephone Mid-Atlantic, LLC, and its successors permission to build, operate, maintain, replace, and remove telecommunications facilities in specified Philadelphia streets and public rights-of-way, including by using certain existing utility and transportation facilities with their owners’ permission.
Granting permission to Cavalier Telephone Mid-Atlantic, LLC, its successors and assigns to construct, maintain and operate, replace, and remove a telecommunications system along, over, in and under the public rights-of-way and City streets and/or to place such telecommunications system on or within the existing facilities owned by Bell Atlantic-PA, PECO Energy Company, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, CSX Corporation, Norfolk Southern, Consolidated Rail Corporation Shared Assets or other entity holding a grant pursuant to other City Ordinances; all under certain terms and conditions.
