This enacted ordinance approves the eighth amendment to the redevelopment proposal and urban renewal plan for Philadelphia’s Whitman Urban Renewal Area.

Amending an Ordinance approved June 13, 1997, as amended, which approved the redevelopment proposal, the urban renewal plan and the relocation plan of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia for the redevelopment of the New Kensington - Fishtown Urban Renewal Area, by approving the second amendment of the redevelopment proposal, the second amendment to the urban renewal plan and the second amendment of the relocation plan which provide, inter alia, for certain additional land acquisition of approximately sixty-four ( 64 ) properties, and provision of certain relocation services, as required by law.

This enacted ordinance approves the tenth amendment to the Redevelopment Authority’s redevelopment proposal and urban renewal plan for the Grays Ferry Urban Renewal Area.
Amending an Ordinance approved December 15, 1969, as amended, which approved the redevelopment proposal, the urban renewal plan and the relocation plan of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia for the redevelopment of Grays Ferry Urban Renewal Area, by approving the tenth amendment of the redevelopment proposal and the urban renewal plan, which provide, inter alia, for certain changes, namely: the acquisition of approximately three (3) additional properties as well as the former railroad rights-of-way on the south side of Grays Ferry avenue between Thirty-fourth street and Thirty-sixth street; all as contained in the tenth amendment of the redevelopment proposal and the tenth amendment to the urban renewal plan.

The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s zoning maps for land bounded by Lancaster Avenue, Fifty-sixth Street, Haddington Street, and Fifty-seventh Street, changing the area from its existing zoning designations to those shown on the ordinance’s maps.

The enacted ordinance adds a definition of dog fighting to the Philadelphia Code and prohibits people from intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or negligently allowing a dog to engage in it on public or private property.
Amending Chapters 10-100 and 10-600 of The Philadelphia Code relating to Animals, Individual Conduct and the use of public and private property by adding to Sections 10-101, 105, 603 and 10-606 the prohibition of Dog Fighting.

This enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s pension rules for police officers receiving service-connected disability benefits.
Amending Title 22 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "City of Philadelphia Public Employees Retirement Code," to provide that police officers injured as a result of performing heroic action in the line of duty are exempted from the earned income offset applied to members receiving service-connected disability benefits, and amending the amount of offset with respect to other police officers, all under certain terms and conditions.
