This enacted bill dissolves the Networks Tax Increment Financing District, an area bounded generally by Sixteenth Street, Spring Garden Street, Hamilton Street, and Fifteenth Street.
Dissolving the Networks Tax Increment Financing District, being the area generally bounded by Sixteenth Street on the west, Spring Garden Street on the north, Hamilton Street on the south, and Fifteenth Street on the east, in accordance with the Tax Increment Financing Act, being the Act of July 11, 1990, P.L. 465, No. 113, as amended.

This enacted amendment extended the expiration date of an ordinance that prohibited demolishing buildings or other structures in the area between Locust Street, Fifth Street, Washington Street, and the Delaware River.
Amending Bill No. 040369, which became law June 21, 2004, entitled "An Ordinance amending Chapter 14-1600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Miscellaneous," by adding a new section prohibiting the demolition of buildings or other structures located within the area bounded on the north by the south side of Locust Street, on the west by the east side of Fifth Street, on the south by the north side of Washington street, and on the east by the Delaware River, and providing that such prohibition shall expire after a specified period of time, all under certain terms and conditions," by extending the expiration date of the ordinance.

This enacted ordinance changes how the City calculates the net profits tax credit for taxpayers who receive a credit against net income tax for contributions to community development corporations carrying out economic development activities in Philadelphia.
Amending Chapter 19-1500 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Wage and Net Profits Tax," by providing for the calculation of the credit against net profits tax based upon net income tax liability, where a credit is received against net income tax for contributions to community development corporations undertaking economic development activities within the City of Philadelphia; all under certain terms and conditions.
