This enacted bill authorized the Philadelphia Fire Department to enter into multi-year agreements with government agencies, nonprofits, and businesses that participate in Pennsylvania Task Force One, a national urban search-and-rescue team.
Authorizing the Fire Department, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia ("City"), as the Sponsoring Agency of Pennsylvania Task Force One, of the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System, to enter into multi-year agreements with Participating Agencies for the purposes of developing resources for emergency preparedness, and for the maintenance and readiness of the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System, under certain terms and conditions.

This lapsed bill would have authorized the City of Philadelphia and the School District of Philadelphia to impose real estate taxes at a combined rate of 1% beginning in Fiscal Year 2014 and afterward.

This lapsed bill would have allowed the Department of Revenue to defer part of a real estate tax increase for owner-occupied properties that are the owner's primary residence when the increase in assessed value exceeded 250 percent in a year.
