Philadelphia City Council adopted a resolution recognizing the victims of the September 17, 2016 shooting near 52nd and Sansom Streets in West Philadelphia.
Recognizing and acknowledging the victims of the shooting rampage that happened in West Philadelphia at 52nd and Sansom Streets on Friday night, September 17, 2016. We commiserate with them for the horror they experienced this past weekend and for those that sustained physical wounds, we pray for their speedy recovery.

This enacted law requires City-owned buildings and facilities with restrooms generally open to the public to make safe, sanitary baby diaper changing stations available to anyone, regardless of gender, and to post signs showing where they are located.
Amending Chapter 16-300 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Maintenance and Supervision," by adding a new section requiring that all City buildings and facilities with bathrooms open to the public have baby diaper changing stations; and requiring the installation of diaper changing stations in connection with capital projects; all under certain terms and conditions.

This enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s Realty Transfer Tax rules by changing how the value of real estate held by acquired real estate companies is calculated and by revising the definitions of real estate company and acquired real estate company.
