This bill, which is held in committee, would change the rules for Philadelphia retirees who return to City employment.
Amending Title 22 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Employees Retirement Code," by modifying the circumstances when City of Philadelphia retirees continue to receive retirement benefits following reemployment, providing for other related benefit requirements, and making certain technical changes; and amending Chapter 20-900 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Health and Welfare Benefits for Pensioned Employees," by modifying the circumstances when City of Philadelphia retirees who are reemployed must contribute to their Health and Welfare Benefits and to any applicable union; all under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Title 13 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Water and Sewer," by adding a new Chapter 13-700, entitled "Conversion of Private Water, Sewer and Stormwater Lines to Public Ownership," to establish reporting, maintenance, improvement and repair requirements with respect to water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure converted to public ownership, all under certain terms and conditions.

This bill, which is held in committee, would require the Water Commissioner to enter into agreements with owners of specified properties to transfer ownership of certain water, sewer, and stormwater mains on parts of Country Club Road, Mimi Circle, and Lankenau Avenue from private owners to the City.
