THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to purchase fee simple title to certain properties bounded by Buttonwood street, Hamilton street, Nectarine street and Spring Garden street with any improvements situated thereon (referred to as the “Premises”) which comprise a parking lot.

Such authorization is subject to the following: (a) all terms and conditions shall be deemed appropriate by the Commissioner of Public Property; and (b) title to the Premises must be found to be (i) good and marketable and free and clear of all liens, restrictions, easements, encumbrances, tenancies, rights of occupancies and other title objections except any such restrictions that may be acceptable to the Commissioner of Public Property; and (ii) insurable as aforesaid at ordinary rates by any reputable title insurance chosen by City.

SECTION 2. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
