Full Bill

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 14-1107(c) of The Philadelphia Code, the City Planning Commission, on April 20, 2000, approved a revision of the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Development District Master Plan -- Chancellor Walk and Thirty-Third Street and recommended that City Council also approve the revision.

WHEREAS, The amendment provides for the construction of a six-story structure containing 43,470 square feet and is to be used to provide labs, offices, an auditorium, conference rooms and a cyber lounge, which will connect the existing Towne Building and the graduate research wing, requiring that small portion of both the Towne Building and the graduate research wing be demolished in order to accommodate the new Levine Building; and

WHEREAS, City Council desires to approve the revision to the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Development District Master Plan -- Chancellor Walk and Thirty-Third Street; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the revision to the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Development District Master Plan -- Chancellor Walk and Thirty-Third Street, approved by the City Planning Commission on April 20, 2000, is hereby approved by City Council.
