Requesting the Mayor to return to Council, Bill No. 000088, entitled, "An Ordinance amending Title 17 of The Philadelphia Code, relating to the 'Contracts and Procurement,' by amending Chapter 17-500, entitled 'Goals for the Participation of Minority, Female and Disabled Owned Business in City Contracts' to extend the life of the Minority Business Enterprise Council ('MBEC'), grant authority to MBEC to monitor participation of minority, female, disabled owned business and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in all City contracts, City Agencies and Quasi-Public Agencies, and to require regular reporting to City Council, all under certain terms and conditions," for the purpose of reconsideration by the Council of the vote by which said bill passed Council.

Full Bill

WHEREAS, Bill No. 000088 was passed by this Council on June 22, 2000 and presented to the Mayor for his signature; and

WHEREAS, Council now wishes to reconsider the vote by which said bill passed Council; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby requests the Mayor to return to it Bill No. 000088, entitled "An Ordinance amending Title 17 of The Philadelphia Code, relating to the 'Contracts and Procurement' by amending Chapter 17-50|1013|, entitled 'Goals for the Participation Of Minority, Female and Disabled Owned Business in City Contracts' to extend the life of the Minority Business Enterprise Council ('MBEC'), grant authority to MBEC to monitor participation of minority, female, disabled owned business and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in all City contracts, City Agencies and Quasi-Public Agencies, and to require regular reporting to City Council, all under certain terms and conditions," for the purpose of reconsideration by the Council of the vote by which said bill passed Council.
