Approving a License/Easement Agreement between the City of Philadelphia and B.B.C. Real Estate Corp., concerning premises known as 6740 Essington avenue.
WHEREAS, On March 25, 1997, the City of Philadelphia, on behalf of the Philadelphia Gas Works, entered into an License/Easement Agreement (the "License/Easement Agreement") with B.B.C. Real Estate Corp. that shall convey to the City of Philadelphia a perpetual easement with respect to real property located at 6740 Essington avenue in Philadelphia upon approval by the Philadelphia Gas Commission and City Council; and
WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia now desires to have the interests granted in the License/Easement Agreement become perpetual interests in real property; and
WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Gas Commission at a meeting duly held on February 15, 2001, approved the License/Easement Agreement and favorably recommended the transaction to City Council; now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby approve the License/Easement Agreement between the City of Philadelphia and the B.B.C. Real Estate Corp. dated March 25, 1997, set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereto.
SECTION 2. The Exhibit "A" referred to and incorporated in this Ordinance shall be kept on file by the Chief Clerk of City Council and shall be available to the public for inspection, reading or copying at reasonable times.
