Full Bill

WHEREAS, John MacDonald is retiring as the Head Coach of the Temple University Golf Team; and

WHEREAS, The team won seven Atlantic Ten Conference Championships under the instruction of MacDonald; and

WHEREAS, MacDonald not only coached at Temple, he also played both Golf and Soccer at the University; and

WHEREAS, MacDonald is a member of both the Temple University Athletic Hall of Fame and the Golf Coaches of America Hall of Fame; and

WHEREAS, MacDonald will continue to serve Philadelphia in his capacity as President and Chief Executive Officer of Impact Services and as Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Scholastic Golf Association; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we honor John MacDonald on a successful career as coach of the Temple University Golf Team; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we wish Mr. MacDonald well in his retirement from coaching golf and wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors personally and professionally; and

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. MacDonald as evidence of the sincere respect and admiration of this legislative body.
