Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by amending Section 14-1605, entitled "Regulated Uses," by expanding the list of regulated uses to include off track betting facilities, as defined, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

(2) Definitions:

(v) Off Track Betting Facility. Any facility which, as a portion of its operation, receives or solicits bets or wagers for events which do not occur on the premises of that facility.

(w) Bet or wager. The staking or risking, by any person, of something of value upon the outcome of a contest of any nature or a future contingent event not under the control or influence of the person, upon an agreement or understanding that the person or another person will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome.
