THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Procurement Commissioner, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 11-502 and 11-503 of The Philadelphia Code, is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the paving of Brinton street from Clearview street to a dead end turnaround approximately ninety-one (91) feet eastwardly therefrom, and Clearview street from Johnson street to a point approximately two hundred forty-three (243) feet southeastwardly therefrom. This proposed paving is for the connection of a new development to the existing street system as described in Section 11-503(c) of The Philadelphia Code.

SECTION 2. In lieu of the provisions of Section 1, the party in interest shall file an agreement and bond with corporate surety, satisfactory to the Law Department and in an amount determined by the Streets Department, to cover the cost of the work required to completely pave Brinton street and Clearview street at his sole cost and expense in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the City of Philadelphia.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall not become effective unless the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00), toward the cost thereof, is paid into the City Treasury within sixty (60) days after this Ordinance becomes law.
