Full Bill

WHEREAS, In April 2001, Mayor Street unveiled his Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI), a five-year strategic plan to preserve and rebuild Philadelphia neighborhoods by eliminating blighting conditions; creating opportunities for redevelopment and investments, and improving the delivery of City services; and

WHEREAS, On February 25, 2002, this Council approved Bill No. 020036, authorizing the issuance of Bonds to fund various programs and activities that support NTI's goals and objectives, including the demolition of dangerous and unsafe residential, commercial and industrial buildings, the assembly of land for development, housing and neighborhood preservation investments, and improvements in management information systems and technologies; and

WHEREAS, Bill No. 020036 provides that an annual program statement and budget describing the expenditures of NTI Bond proceeds, and any amendments thereto, must be approved by the City Council by resolution; and

WHEREAS, On June 13, 2002, this Council approved the

NTI FY03 Program Statement and Budget

by approving Resolution No. 020285; and

WHEREAS, The Mayor proposes to amendment the

NTI FY03 Program Statement and Budget

; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA:

Section 1. The amendments to the

NTI FY 03 Program Statement and Budget

set forth in Exhibit "A" are hereby approved.

Section 2. The Clerk of Council shall keep on file and make available to the public for inspection during regular business hours a copy of the exhibit to this Resolution.
