Full Bill

WHEREAS, For nearly forty years, Wolf Dollmann has built a distinguished career as an Action News photographer for WPVI-TV Channel 6; and

WHEREAS, Over the past forty years, Wolf Dollmann has been on the front lines of reporting, capturing the images of events that are a part of the history of Philadelphia and that have shaped and defined the unique traditions of our City and its citizens; and

WHEREAS, Over his long, remarkable career, Wolf Dollmann was always in the right place at the right time, recording events, literally, as they unfolded. One such event, that gained Wolf Dollmann considerable acclaim, was his video footage of the fire at the Normandy Retirement Home, for which he was recognized for being the only photographer to capture video of the actual building collapsing. Further, he has spent a distinguished career capturing the events that have occurred in the Chambers of Philadelphia City Council; and

WHEREAS, Wolf Dollmann has maintained a longstanding commitment to doing his part to preserve, for future generations, the enduring images of our City's past; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, that we hereby honor Wolf Dollmann upon his retirement after nearly forty years as an Action News photographer for WPVI-TV Channel 6.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Wolf Dollmann as evidence of the sincere sentiments and best wishes of this legislative body.
