THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.

The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to purchase for nominal consideration fee simple title to a certain parcel of land with the buildings and improvements thereon situated at the Southeasterly corner of Croskey Street and Indiana Avenue, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and known as 2212 W. Indiana Avenue.

SECTION 2.

The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City and to carry out the purposes of this Ordinance.

EXHIBIT "A"

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground with the buildings and improvements thereon erected.

SITUATE in the 38th Ward of the City of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, described as follows:

SITUATE on the Southeasterly corner of Croskey Street (30 feet wide) with the Southerly side of Indiana Avenue (50 feet wide);

CONTAINING in front or breadth on the said side of Indiana Avenue 47 feet and extending of that width in length or depth Southwardly 80 feet, the Westerly line thereof being along the Easterly side of Croskey Street.

BEING No. 2212 West Indiana Avenue.

BEING the same premises which the Sheriff of the City of Philadelphia, John Green, by deed dated the 15th day of March, 1988, and recorded in Deed Book FHS, conveyed unto Jasper Menkan.

BEING the same premises which Jasper Menkan, by deed dated the 22nd day of November, 1989, and recorded in Deed Book FHS No. 1497, Page 31, conveyed unto Jessee and Virginia Ryan, husband and wife.
