THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Title 9 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Businesses, Trades, and Professions,” is hereby amended to read as follows:

TITLE 9. REGULATION OF BUSINESSES, TRADES, AND PROFESSIONS

Chapter 9-700. Amusement Businesses.

§9-704. Motion Pictures.

(b) All licenses shall be conditioned on continued compliance with Title 5

and §10-308

.

SECTION 2. Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity,” is hereby amended to read as follows:

TITLE 10. REGULATION OF INDIVIDUAL CONDUCT AND ACTIVITY.

Chapter 10-300. Minors.

§10-308.

Prohibition on Attendance of Children at Movies Shown After 7:00 P.M.

(1)

No adult shall bring a child under the age of six into a movie theatre to attend a movie after 7:00 P.M., unless that movie is rated “G” for general audiences.

(2)

No movie theatre establishment shall permit a child under the age of six to attend a movie after 7:00 P.M., unless that movie is rated “G” for general audiences.

(3)

Any adult found in violation of this Section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).

(4)

Any movie theatre establishment found in violation of this Section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00).
