WHEREAS,
Paragraph II(13) of the Rules of Council provides that the Council President may make appointments to boards, commissions, advisory committees and authorities pursuant to any appointment power conferred upon the President by law or otherwise, with the approval of the Council by resolution; now, therefore,
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA,
THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmembers Blondell Reynolds Brown, Michael Nutter and Frank Rizzo to serve on the Board of Directors of the Fairmount Park Preservation Trust, Inc.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Darrell Clarke to serve on the Board of Directors of the Franklin Institute.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmembers Donna Miller and Brian O’Neill to serve on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Activities Fund.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmembers Blondell Reynolds Brown, David Cohen, Jack Kelly and Marian Tasco to serve on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Michael Nutter to serve on the Board of Directors of the Please Touch Museum.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Frank DiCicco to serve on the Board of Directors of the Reading Terminal Corporation.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Rick Mariano to serve as a member of the Veterans’ Advisory Commission.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Anne Kelly King to serve as a member of the Board of Pensions and Retirement.
