Authorizing the Council President to appoint certain individuals to serve as the Council President's representative on various boards and commissions.

WHEREAS,

Paragraph II(13) of the Rules of Council provides that the Council President may, with the approval of Council by resolution, appoint a representative to act in the President’s stead at any meetings of any City board, commission or advisory committee of which the President is an ex-officio member and at any meetings of the Board of Directors of a quasi-public agency or public authority of which the President is an ex-officio member; now, therefore,

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA,

THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Jannie Blackwell to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Blondell Reynolds Brown to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Trustees of the Franklin Institute.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Frank DiCicco to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Fund for Philadelphia.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember James Kenney to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Penn’s Landing Corporation.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Donna Miller to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Zoological Society of Philadelphia.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Councilmember Jack Kelly to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Kathleen Murray to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Housing and Development Corporation.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Kathleen Murray to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Philadelphia Historical Commission.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Charles McPherson to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Board of City Trusts.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT The Council President is hereby authorized to appoint Mary Mason to serve as the Council President’s representative on the Fairmount Park Commission.
