Full Bill

WHEREAS, Robert “Link” Harper has been providing photographic services for the City of Philadelphia and especially City Council for the last 23 years; and

WHEREAS, Link Harper's photographic duties include: City Council events, construction projects, and special events, including Welcome America; and

WHEREAS, Link Harper has exhibited exemplary attendance, commitment to excellence and dedication to duty, during his time of service to the City of Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, Link Harper is the Recipient of many commendations, including recognition by the Department of Streets for an award-winning photograph taken of the newly-renovated Strawberry Mansion Bridge featured at the American Public Works Association Convention in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Link Harper is the Proprietor of his own art gallery with his partner Jonas DosSantos in Brazil, South America; and

WHEREAS, Link Harper's extraordinary photographs have been on display at various art galleries along the eastern seaboard, including the prestigious Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That City Council Hereby Recognize, Honor, And Celebrate Robert “Link” Harper — On His Retirement From The City Of Philadelphia Department Of Records — For 23 Years Of Service And Photographic Excellence.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Link Harper as further evidencing the sincere admiration and gratitude of this legislative body.
