Full Bill

WHEREAS, The staff of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission is known for its professionalism and autonomy; and

WHEREAS, The Planning Commission has guided our City's growth and development with the original Comprehensive Plan and plans for neighborhoods all over the City; and

WHEREAS, The Community Planning staff has prepared the redevelopment plans needed for dozens of neighborhood revitalization projects throughout the City; and

WHEREAS, The Community Planning Division continues its 55-year tradition of giving information and assistance to neighborhood and civic groups; and

WHEREAS, The Community Planners have been an important part of the staff team working with the neighborhoods on zoning issues; and

WHEREAS, The Community Planners have assisted and advised members of City Council on many planning related issues over the years; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Calling for the Philadelphia Planning Commission to retain its staff during and after the reorganization of Housing Agencies.
