WHEREAS, Daniel E. Rumph II was an outstanding community leader; and
WHEREAS, His commitment and contribution to the Germantown area and the community at large is indelibly etched in the hearts and minds of the residents of Germantown; and
WHEREAS, Daniel E. Rumph II was offered a full scholarship to go to Western Kentucky University, but came home every summer to mentor the young people in and around the Mallery Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, The residents of the community, especially the young people in and around the Mallery Recreation Center wish to honor the memory of Daniel E. Rumph II with a fitting tribute; now, therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
