THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 14-1400 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 14-1400. PARKING AND LOADING FACILITIES.

§14-1402. Parking in Residential Districts.

(9) Driveways, Aisles, Walkways, Screening, Landscaping and Lighting.
(a) Parking facilities accessory to multi-family buildings and permitted non-residential uses shall comply with the following requirements:
(.1) Driveways and Aisles. An additional area of the parking lot or parking garage equal to not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the total area of the lot or garage shall be provided for access driveways and aisles
, except that this requirement shall not apply in connection with a mechanical-access parking garage, as defined in section 406.3.2 of The Philadelphia Building Code.
