THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
Section 14-102 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Canopy. A permanent roofed over structure which may be a completely open sided structure attached or detached from the main structure and used in conjunction with the principle use.
Section 14-303 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

(t) Businesses with a Drive-thru. Drive-thru's for financial institutions and retail drug stores shall be permitted provided they are not located between the main building and the front street line and that a dedicated lane is provided for such use.
Section 14-312 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
(3) Canopies. Canopies for drive-thru's listed in §14-303(t) and gas pumps that are permitted as part of a gas station shall be permitted in accordance with the area regulations of the district in which it is located.
This Ordinance shall be effective immediately.
