Authorizing the President of the Fairmount Park Commission and the Executive Director of Fairmount Park to enter into a lease agreement between the City of Philadelphia as landlord and the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development as tenant for further sublease to Historic Philadelphia, Inc., a certain parcel of land bounded by 6th Street, 7th Street, Race Street, and the Vine Street Expressway, commonly referred to as Franklin Square, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.

The President of the Fairmount Park Commission and the Executive Director of Fairmount Park are hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement between the Fairmount Park Commission as landlord and the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development as tenant for further sublease to Historic Philadelphia, Inc., a certain parcel of land bounded by 6th Street, 7th Street, Race Street, and the Vine Street Expressway, commonly referred to as Franklin Square, which Lease and Sublease shall be substantially in the form set forth in Exhibit “1” hereto, with such changes as the City Solicitor deems necessary or appropriate to protect the interests of the City.

SECTION 2.

The Chief Clerk of City Council shall keep on file the document referred to as Exhibit “1” and shall make it available for inspection by the public during regular office hours.
