Full Bill
WHEREAS, Mayor John F. Street appointed and Council confirmed Reverend Alyn E. Waller as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve a three-year term to end November 16, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Waller has resigned his position on the Board of Ethics, creating a vacancy; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-806 (c) ("Vacancies") of the Home Rule Charter provides that vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term of the member succeeded; and
WHEREAS, Mayor John F. Street has nominated Phoebe Haddon for appointment as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve in the unexpired portion of the vacant three-year term; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Phoebe Haddon as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2009.
