THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Chapter 14-1400 of The Philadelphia Code, relating to "Parking and Loading Facilities", is hereby amended to read as follows:

TITLE 14. ZONING AND PLANNING.

CHAPTER 14-1400. PARKING AND LOADING FACILITIES.

* * *

§14-1402. Parking in Residential Districts.

* * *

(4) Area Per Parking Spaces.

* * *

(b) The provisions of paragraphs §14-1402(4)(a), (.1) and (.2) above shall not apply in connection with a mechanical-access parking garage, as defined in Section 406.3.2 of the Philadelphia Building Code.

§14-1403. Parking in Commercial Districts.

* * *

(3) Area of Parking Space.

* * *

(b) The provisions of paragraphs §14-1403(3)(a) and (.1) above shall not apply in connection with a mechanical-access parking garage, as defined in Section 406.3.2 of the Philadelphia Building Code.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
