Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Lynn Saligman League will commemorate their 50th Anniversary on October 19, 2007; and

WHEREAS, The Lynn Saligman League first began fundraising for Children's Hospital on November 17, 1956; and

WHEREAS, The Lynn Saligman League's funding projects include a lung expanse measuring machine for TB patients, hospital beds and bottle warmers, the Emergency Care Center renovation, Israeli research fellows, the Social Work Emergency Patient and Family Fund, Day Surgery coloring books, an incubator for the Infant Care Center, Reach Out & Read and Camp-Get-Awella; and

WHEREAS, The Lynn Saligman League has raised nearly $2 million for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, Through the efforts of 150 talented members, the Lynn Saligman League continue to support The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and its own legacy of providing for the children the Hospital cares for; now, therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council does hereby honor the Lynn Saligman League as it Celebrates 50 Years of fundraising for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to the Lynn Saligman League as evidence of the sincere sentiments and recognition of this legislative body.
