Full Bill

WHEREAS, Gambrel Field is home to the Frankford Chargers, the POP Warner Football Team; and

WHEREAS, Until recently Gambrel Field stood in disrepair with no grass and littered with rocks and glass; and

WHEREAS, Phil Tuckett of Bristlecone Films and Rick Horrow of Horrow Sports Ventures, conceived the idea of Operation Field Rescue. Their goal was to impact and improve a community by renovating a local field; and

WHEREAS, Gambrel Field was selected to be a part of the Tuckett and Horrow Operation Field Rescue; and

WHEREAS, With the hard work and dedication of Phil Tuckett, Rick Horrow, and the Fox Sports Net, Gambrel Field received a complete makeover and is now a state of the art football field; and

WHEREAS, The process and culmination of these efforts will be shown on FOX Sports Net starting on Thanksgiving Day of this year 2007; and

WHEREAS, Phil Tuckett, Rick Horrow, and the Fox Sports Net are to be commended for their outstanding commitment, investments, and dedication to improving not only the field but the community as well; now therefore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby recognizes, honors, and celebrates, the incredible work of Phil Tuckett, Rick Horrow, and the Fox Sports Net in bringing Operation Field Rescue to Gambrel Field and the Frankford Chargers in Philadelphia.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Phil Tuckett and Rick Horrow as evidence of the sincere appreciation of this legislative body.
