Amending Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Safety," by adding a new Section 10-834, entitled "Sale or Transfer of Ammunition," to require all sales of ammunition for firearms to be reported to the City of Philadelphia Police Department and to require that Department to maintain a registry of such reports; all under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled Safety, is amended to add a new Section 10-834 to read as follows:
§10-834. Sale or Transfer of Ammunition.
Any person that sells ammunition for a firearm, pistol, revolver, rifle or shotgun shall make a report to the City of Philadelphia Police Department of all of the following within seven (7) days of each such sale:
(a) Description of the purchase, including type and quantity.
(b) Name and address of purchaser.
(c) Date of purchase.
The City of Philadelphia Police Department shall establish and maintain a registry of reports received under this Section.
