WHEREAS, The voters approved a change to the City's Home Rule Charter on November 6, 2007 creating the position of Public School Family and Child Advocate; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has appointed Lori Shorr to be the Public School Family and Child Advocate; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-210 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council to confirm the appointment of Ms. Shorr; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA,
That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Lori Shorr as the Public School Family and Child Advocate.
