THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Section 9-211 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§9-211. Boxes for the Distribution of News and Printed Material.

(1) Program Area. The provisions of this Section shall only apply to the public sidewalks

: (a)

within the area bounded by and including the south side of Bainbridge Street, the east side of Columbus boulevard, the north side of Vine street and the west side of the Schuylkill river; [to]

(b) on

the entire length of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway; [and to]

(c) on

the 1700 block of Cottman avenue

; and (d) in the Manayunk Commercial Zone, defined as Main Street from the 3700 block to the 4600 block, inclusive; Cresson Street from the 4100 block to the 4500 block, inclusive; Silverwood Street from the 4200 block to the 4300 block, inclusive; the 100 block of Carson Street; the 100 block of Conarroe Street; the 100 block of Gay Street; the 100 block of Levering Street; the 100 block of Grape Street; the 100 block of Cotton Street; the 100 block of Roxborough Avenue; the 100 block of Rector Street; the 100 block of Pensdale Street; the 100 block of Jamestown Avenue; the 100 block of Shurs Lane; and the 4400 block of Baker Street.

Publishers' Box Corrals.

(h) Only one publishers' box corral shall be placed and maintained in the Manayunk Commercial Zone, which corral shall be located on the 100 block of Levering Street, at the intersection of Main Street.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
