RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA,
THAT
Paragraph IV of Resolution No. 080001, which provides Rules for the Government of the Council of the City of Philadelphia, be amended as follows:

VII. Consideration of Bills
1. Every bill shall be read on two (2) separate days in open Council meetings. A bill reported from committee to Council shall not be given a first reading on the same day it is reported from committee, but shall be placed on the first reading calendar for the next meeting of Council
; however, if a motion is carried to suspend this rule so as to permit the first reading of a bill on the same day it is reported from committee, and if the bill has been read as part of the committee report, then the reading of the committee report shall be deemed to be the first reading of the bill, and the bill shall be placed on the second reading calendar for the next meeting of Council
