THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Section 1-112 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§1-112. Notices of Violation.

(1) For the purposes of enforcing any provision of the Code, or any regulation adopted under any provision of the Code, notices of violation may be issued by police officers or any other person authorized to enforce ordinances.

An employee of the Philadelphia Parking Authority (“Authority”) shall be considered to be a person authorized to enforce ordinances for purposes of this Section or any other Section of this Code, if such employee has been duly designated by the Authority to perform such duty, and the City hereby delegates to the Authority the power to carry out such function.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the enactment of authorizing legislation by the General Assembly.
