Full Bill

WHEREAS

, Mayor John F. Street appointed and Council confirmed Stella Tsai as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, originally to serve in a term ending November 16, 2007, and which term was extended by operation of law until November 16, 2008; and

WHEREAS

, Stella Tsai resigned her seat on the Board in October 2008; and

WHEREAS

, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has nominated Edward Kung for appointment as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve in the seat vacated by Ms. Tsai; and

WHEREAS

, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA,

That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Edward Kung as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2012.
