Full Bill

WHEREAS, On April 16, 2009, Council adopted Resolution No. 090306, authorizing Council's Committee on Licenses and Inspections to hold hearings concerning the impact of inspections by the Department of Licenses and Inspections on tenant evictions; and

WHEREAS, On April 16, 2009, Council adopted Resolution No. 090307, authorizing Council's Committee on Housing, Neighborhood Development and the Homeless to hold hearings concerning the impact of foreclosures on renters; and

WHEREAS, These two resolutions concern related issues that would benefit from being considered in a single hearing by a joint committee, now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA

That the Joint Committee on Housing, Neighborhood Development and the Homeless and Licenses and Inspections is hereby authorized to hold the hearings previously authorized by Resolution No. 090306 (adopted April 16, 2009) and Resolution No. 090307 (adopted April 16, 2009).
