Full Bill

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to lease for nominal consideration from The School District of Philadelphia a certain parcel of property approximately 10,070 square feet in size located in the 9100 block of Academy Road, as more fully described on Exhibit “A” (“Property”), for a term of ten (10) years (“Lease”).

SECTION 2. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to sublease the Property for nominal consideration to the Penn-Academy Athletic Association for a term of ten (10) years for construction of a clubhouse used to organize and conduct athletic and recreational activities for members of the community (“Sublease”).

SECTION 3. The City Solicitor is authorized to include in the Lease and Sublease such terms and conditions as in the opinion of the City Solicitor shall be necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City.

EXHIBIT "A"

Description of Property

Beginning on the westerly side of Academy Road at the southeast corner of the Lease Area for the Penn Crisp Gym, approximately 615 feet north from the intersection of Academy Road and Willits Road;

Thence leaving Academy Road in a southwesterly direction along the southeasterly side of the Penn Crisp Lease Area 100 feet to a corner;

Thence continuing along the Penn Crisp Lease Area 100 feet in a northeasterly direction to a point on the boundary of the Department of Recreation playing fields;

Thence along the southeasterly side of the Department of Recreation Playing Fields in a southwesterly direction 75 feet to a point;

Thence turning 90 degrees left, leaving the southeasterly side of the Department of Recreation playing fields, in a southeasterly direction 115 feet to a point;

Thence turning 90 degrees left, 168 feet to a point on the westerly side of Academy Road;

Thence in a northerly direction along the westerly side of Academy Road 16.6 feet to the first mentioned point of beginning.

The lease area contains approximately 10,070 square feet.
