Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan Nos. 146 and 271 by closing Manderson Street, from Delaware Avenue to Frankford Avenue, to vehicular traffic, placing on the City Plan a certain triangularly-shaped area bounded by Delaware Avenue, Frankford Avenue, and Manderson Street, relocating a portion of the westerly curbline of Frankford Avenue, north of Laurel Street, a variable distance westwardly, and relocating the southwesterly curbline of Laurel Street, from Delaware Avenue to Canal Street, a variable distance northeastwardly and authorizing the opening of the heretofore unopened portion of the intersection of Delaware Avenue, Laurel Street, and Frankford Avenue.

Full Bill

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.

Pursuant to Sections 11-402 and 11-404 of The Philadelphia Code, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan Nos. 146 and 271 by:

Closing Manderson Street, from Delaware Avenue to Frankford Avenue, to vehicular traffic by extending the northwesterly curbline of said Delaware Avenue and the easterly curbline of said Frankford Avenue across the ends of said Manderson Street.

Placing on the City Plan a certain triangularlyarea bounded by Delaware Avenue on the southeast, Frankford Avenue on the west, and Manderson Street on the northeast.

Relocating

the westerly curbline of Frankford Avenue, from a point approximately onethirty feet north of Laurel Street to a point approximately onehundred ninety feet further northwardly therefrom, a variable distance westwardly, thereby reducing the width of the westerly footway of said Frankford Avenue within this area.

Relocating the southwesterly curbline of Laurel Street, from Delaware Avenue to Canal Street, a variable distance northeastwardly in order to conform more closely to existing conditions.

SECTION 2. Effective upon confirmation of the City Plan changes authorized herein, the Board of Surveyors is hereby authorized to adopt a Resolution declaring the heretofore unopened portion of the area within the intersection of Delaware Avenue, Laurel Street, and Frankford Avenue, owned by the City of Philadelphia, to be legally open.
