THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 14-103 of The Philadelphia Code, the Philadelphia Zoning Maps are hereby amended by changing the zoning designations of certain areas of land within an area bounded by Richmond Street, Cumberland Street, Beach Street, and Schirra Drive, from the existing zoning designations indicated on Map “A” set forth below to the zoning designations indicated on Map “B” set forth below.

SECTION 2. Section 14-304 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§ 14-304. "C-3" Commercial District.

(9) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Title, the following shall apply in the area bounded by Richmond Street, Cumberland Street, Beach Street, and Schirra Drive:

(a) Dancehall and nightclubs are allowable without restrictions to any special control districts;

(b) Parking shall be provided on-site, or within a 1000 feet from the lot, at a ratio of 1 space for every 125 square feet of gross floor area. Landscaping shall not be required.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.
