WHEREAS

, The RDA admits there has been a delay in processing non-profit, community group, institutional and private applications and proposals for redevelopment; and

WHEREAS

, RDA acknowledges that its communications with City Councilmembers has been lacking; and

WHEREAS

, It is the responsibility of Councilpersons to service their districts and the City with regard to residential, institutional and commercial development to improve our City; and

WHEREAS

, It is only through mutual agreements concerning mutual goals that we can move our City forward; and

WHEREAS

, City Council as an equal branch of government, with the Executive and Judicial branches, must meet its responsibility; and

WHEREAS

, In order for our City to prosper we must have a plan upon which both the administration and City Council agree and work together to accomplish; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THAT THE PHILADELPHIA CITY COUNCIL,

Calls on the Redevelopment Authority in the Spirit of Transparency and Cooperation to Honor its Commitment to Work with City Council Going Forward to End the Stalemate and Backlog that Exists Within the Redevelopment Authority.
