WHEREAS, DeSean Jackson uses his extreme talent and success to be a transformative force in the community, creating an annual youth football camp to provide young kids teambuilding and life skills on and off the football field and also establishing the DeSean Jackson Foundat10n for Pancreatic Cancer; and
WHEREAS, The DeSean Jackson Foundat10n for Pancreatic Cancer is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the devastating disease; and
WHEREAS, The foundation achieves these goals by encouraging their motto of 10/10/10: take 10 minutes, tell 10 friends, donate $10; and
WHEREAS, October 10th , 2010 is 10/10/10, the embodiment of the foundation's motto, now therefore
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADEPHIA,
That it hereby recognizes, honors and commemorates October 10th , 2010 as DeSean Jackson Foundat10n for Pancreatic Cancer Day.
