THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 14-103 of The Philadelphia Code, the Philadelphia Zoning Maps are hereby amended by changing the zoning designations of certain areas of land within an area bounded by Richmond Street, Cumberland Street, Beach Street, and Schirra Drive, from the existing zoning designations indicated on Map “A” set forth below to the zoning designations indicated on Map “B” set forth below.

SECTION 2. Section 14-506 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§ 14-506. "L-4" Limited Industrial District.

(9) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Title, the following shall apply in the area bounded by Richmond Street, Cumberland Street, Beach Street, and Schirra Drive:

(a) Dance Halls and Night Clubs are permitted uses, notwithstanding any prohibitions in Sections 14-1624 and 14-1638, or any other prohibitions that may otherwise apply.

(b) Parking spaces for any dance hall or night club

shall be provided on-site or within 1,000 feet from the lot at a ratio of one (1) space for every 125 square feet of gross floor area. Landscaping shall not be required.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.
