Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Przybylowski Family established their real estate and insurance business on the corner of Thompson and Orthodox Streets in April 1918; and

WHEREAS, Thaddeus J. Przybylowski, better known as “Ted” earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at Villanova University in 1952 and utilized his training and guidance from his father; and

WHEREAS, From the first day of grammar school to the present day, Ted has been a mainstay in Bridesburg and generation after generation conducted business with his family for real estate and insurance services; and

WHEREAS, Ted served in many capacities on the Northeast Philadelphia Realty Board including President; and

WHEREAS, He was instrumental in the chartership of the Bridesburg Business Association through to the formation of the Bridesburg Community Development Corporation as service to the people of Bridesburg was always his main priority; and

WHEREAS, In his retirement, Ted addressed the people of Bridesburg and told them his greatest experience was that he was fortunate enough to serve the community where he utilized the majority of his time assisting the people to accomplish their greatest desire of home ownership; now therefore

BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, THAT the northwest corner of Thompson and Orthodox Streets in the great community of Bridesburg be also named “Przybylowski Corner.”
