Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 271 by relocating the southeasterly curbline of Delaware Avenue, from Spring Garden Street to Ellen Street, a variable distance northwestwardly and relocating the southeasterly curbline of Penn Street from Delaware Avenue to Ellen Street, sixteen feet northwestwardly, thereby increasing the width of the southeasterly footway areas of said Delaware Avenue and Penn Street.

Full Bill

WHEREAS, The City and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation have undertaken to develop the Delaware River Trail;

WHEREAS, A portion of the trail will extend along the southeasterly side of Delaware Avenue, from Spring Garden Street to Penn Street, and along the southeasterly side of Penn Street, from Delaware Avenue to Ellen Street; and

WHEREAS, It is necessary to relocate the curblines and widen the footway areas along the portions of Delaware Avenue and Penn Street through which the trail will be constructed; now, therefore

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.

Pursuant to Section 11-404 of The Philadelphia Code, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 271 by:

Relocating the southeasterly curbline of Delaware Avenue, from Spring Garden Street to Ellen Street, a variable distance northwestwardly, thereby increasing the width of the southeasterly footway area of the said portion of Delaware Avenue.

Relocating the southeasterly curbline of

Penn Street, from Delaware Avenue to Ellen Street, sixteen feet northwestwardly, thereby increasing the width of the southeasterly footway area of the said portion of Penn Street.
