WHEREAS, Mayor John F. Street appointed and Council confirmed Richard Glazer, Esq., as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics in November 2006, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Richard Glazer, Esq., has continued to serve by operation of law as a member of the Board of Ethics for an additional one-year term; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has nominated Brian J. McCormick, Jr. for appointment as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve for the remainder of the five-year term ending in November 2016; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Brian J. McCormick, Jr. as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2016.
