Full Bill
WHEREAS, The City intends to convey title to a certain parcel, with improvements, commonly known as the Love Park Parking Garage and located generally beneath John F. Kennedy Plaza (also known as Love Park) at Fifteenth and Arch Streets; and
WHEREAS, Portions of the structure of the said underground garage extend underneath the beds of Fifteenth Street, Sixteenth Street, and Arch Street; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to revise the City Plan by striking and vacating the subsurface portions of the said streets occupied by the said garage; now, therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Pursuant to Section 11-403 of The Philadelphia Code, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 307 by:
Striking from the City Plan and vacating a certain subsurface portion of Fifteenth Street, between Arch Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the said portion being more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto.
Striking from the City Plan and vacating a certain subsurface portion of Sixteenth Street, between Arch Street and Cuthbert Street, the said portion being more particularly described in Exhibit B attached hereto.
Striking from the City Plan and vacating a certain subsurface portion of Arch Street, from Sixteenth Street to a point approximately sixtyfeet east of Fifteenth Street, the said portion being more particularly described in Exhibit C attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Exhibits A, B, and C to this Ordinance shall be kept on file by the Chief Clerk and shall be available for public inspection.
