Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Little Flower Swim Team's 2013-14 season was made up of both individual and team accomplishments led by Seniors Sarah Coleman, Emma Coyle, Rose Pisacano, Catherine Spreckley and Rachel Wisniewski; and

WHEREAS, Sarah Coleman was named 1st Team All Catholic in both the 200 and 400 meter Freestyle Relays and 2nd Team All Catholic in the 50 meter Freestyle. Rose Pisacano was named 2nd Team All Catholic in the 100 meter Backstroke and Catherine Spreckley was named 2nd Team All Catholic in the 100 meter Breaststroke; and

WHEREAS, Juniors, Allyson McHugh was selected 1st Team All Catholic in the 200 meter Freestyle, the 200 and 400 meter Freestyle Relays, the 100 meter Breaststroke and Jessica Seiple was named 2nd Team All Catholic in the 100 meter Breaststroke; and

WHEREAS, Sophomores, Jillian Blaney was named 1st Team All Catholic in both the 200 and 400 meter Freestyle Relays and Megan Campbell was named 2nd Team All Catholic in the 100 meter Backstroke; and

WHEREAS, Freshman, Kelley McHugh was named 1st Team All Catholic in both the 200 and 400 meter Freestyle Relays, the 500 meter Freestyle and the 200 meter Relay; and

WHEREAS, At the States Kelley McHugh finished 32nd in the 100 meter Backstroke and Allyson McHugh finished 7th in the 200 meter Freestyle earning her a spot on the All-State Team; and

WHEREAS, Sarah Coleman, Jillian Blaney, Jennifer Campbell and Kelley McHugh finished 32nd in the 400 meter Freestyle Relay and the team finished 33rd overall in the State Finals and were the highest finisher in the Philadelphia Catholic League; and

WHEREAS, We expect to see a lot more of the Little Flower High School Girls Swim Team in the future as they are only losing a few of their members to graduation this year; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby honor and congratulate the Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls Swim Team on their District 12 Championship and Catholic League Title.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to The Little Flower High School Swim Team, further evidencing the sincere sentiments of this legislative body.
