WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has nominated Amy L. Kurland to be appointed as a member of the Philadelphia Housing Authority pursuant to Section 5(c) of the Housing Authorities Law, Act of May 28, 1937, P.L. 955, No. 265, as amended by the Act of July 5, 2012, P.L. 1093, No. 130 (35 P.S. §1545); and

WHEREAS, Section 5(c) of the Housing Authorities Law requires the approval of a majority of the members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Philadelphia Housing Authority; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby approves the appointment of Amy L. Kurland to be a member of the Philadelphia Housing Authority.
