Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Cahillites, led by Head Coach Chris McNesby, grad of 1995, finished with a record of 27-4; and

WHEREAS, The Varsity Basketball Program at Roman Catholic High School finished the season ranked 19 overall by USA Today and ranked 12 in the country by MaxPreps; and

WHEREAS, The Cahillites defeated Taylor Allerdice school out of Pittsburgh to win the State Championship by a score of 73-62 on March 19, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Based on their past performance it is safe to assume that the Cahillites from Roman Catholic High School Basketball Team will only get better with time; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate Roman Catholic High School Boys Basketball Team on winning the 2016 PIAA State AAAA Championship and The District 12 City Title for the AAAA Classification.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Roman Catholic High School Basketball Team as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body.
